WV American Massage Therapy Association Member Appreciation Day

On Saturday, January 17, 2007, I participated in the annual AMTA member appreciation day and presented a 3 hour seminar on the benefits of Raw Food with a lunch of Greek salad with almond feta "cheese", raw chili over raw butternut squash noodles and topped with pine nut "sour creme" and chili spiced sunflower seeds, raw tortillas made from zucchini, carrots and avocado and fruit and nut energy cookies.

It was a rather chilly start at the Holiday Inn Express at Southridge when a major power transformer blew and left us without power for 4 hours. The early morning wheatgrass and smoothies turned into later in the day wheatgrass and smoothies. We all had a good attitude and persevered however, by rearranging some speakers and taking in a later lunch. It was one of those "unexpected" happenstances that life throws your way. You adjust and move on!

Thanks to Karla Stull and Kim Bingaman for inviting me to be a presenter and to everyone that was there that made me feel so welcome. I had a wonderful time and was glad to spread the word about wheatgrass juice, sea salt and other benefits of healthy food to the membership.
